Q – Do I get my own hotel room?
A – Unless specified or requested all our guests will be allocated their own individual room with en-suite.
Q – Will it be cold in Iceland and what clothing will I need?
A – The weather can be unpredictable in Iceland and on some previous visits we have encountered mild snow. In general, a good thick coat, gloves, scarf and decent walking shoes will be all you need.
Q – How many schools will I visit?
A – You will visit two schools during your stay in Iceland. One on the Monday and one on the Tuesday. You will spend about three quarters of the day in at that school and you can simply observe or join in as much as you like. Lunch is always provided by the school.
Q – Can I take photographs in the schools?
A – In most cases you are welcome to take photographs in the schools. Always ask a member of the staff first to make sure.
Q – What weight luggage can I take?
A – We fly with Easyjet and we book all our guests a 23kg hold allowance. You can also take a carry-on bag with you. Please check the Easyjet website for weights and sizes of hand luggage you are allowed to take.
Q – What time if the flight from London Luton Airport.
A – For several years now the flight has remained the same departing Luton Airport at 06:50am on the Sunday Morning and returning to the UK on Friday at 13:15pm in the afternoon.
Q – What time should I be at the airport?
A – It’s always a good idea to leave plenty of time and we recommend you are at London Luton Airport 2 hours before so getting to the airport by 04:30am would be a good idea.
Q – Can I make my own way to Iceland and meet the group there?
A – If you book your own flight, ** Remember we arrive in Iceland on Sunday morning at 08:55am and head straight to the Blue Lagoon. You would need to meet us at the airport to catch the coach or meet us at the blue lagoon around 10am.
Q – How will I find the International Play Iceland Group in the Airport?
A – If you are flying out of the UK with us you will be sent all your ticket paperwork and boarding pass by our coordination team. Obviously, we are all on the same plane together so we will find one another, and we always aim to seat the group as close together as possible. We will arrange a meeting point in the departure lounge for those people that want to introduce themselves prior to boarding the aircraft and this is done closer to the departure date by email.
Q – Do you need my passport?
A – We require a copy of your passport to be sent immediately after booking your place with us. This is best sent by email to [email protected]
Q – What do I need to bring for the Blue Lagoon?
A – We visit the Blue Lagoon almost immediately after boarding our coach from the Airport. You must have your bathing costume or swim wear with you in your hand luggage If you want to enter the Lagoon. Towels are provided and if you wish to purchase an alcoholic drink you will be given a wrist band to wear that will be scanned when you order your drink. You will then be asked to settle your account once you have left the lagoon changing rooms.
Q – Do I need spending money?
A – Although we cover almost everything, we don’t provide alcoholic drinks, snacks, souvenirs and room service. You will need your own personal money if you wish to enjoy any of the above.
Q – What is the currency?
A – The currency in Iceland is Krona.
Q – Can I use my cash card?
A – As with most places you can simply pay for your purchases using your normal ATM card or Credit Card.
Q – Can I cancel my booking?
A – You can cancel your booking and get a full refund anytime up to July 1st. Unfortunately after that date we will have committed to bookings we won’t be able to undo therefore we can’t make any refunds after that date.
Q – If for any reason I can’t make it, can I give my booking to someone else?
A – This is most certainly an option, but all we ask is that you cover the expense of changing any booking details as these are often occurred by the Airline at short notice.
Q – Will I like the food?
A – Like most countries now, Iceland have everything on offer, and they cater for all people, all taste buds and all dietary requirements.
Q – Will I get any free time?
A – During our trips there will always be opportunities for you to grab sometime for yourself to explore Reykjavik and soak up some culture.
Q – Can I stay longer in Iceland than the planned Trip?
A – You are more than welcome to extend your trip after our has concluded but this would be at your own expense. If you don’t need a return flight back to the UK you need to make the team aware of that.
