Visiting Schools & Settings
We dedicate the first two days to observing Icelandic settings in action.
Play Iceland provides invaluable exposure to a range of learning environments that show many varied approaches to fostering child development. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Iceland's educational philosophy and environment, gaining invaluable insights into cultivating joyful, child-centred learning through play.
Following the visits everyone has the opportunity to discuss what they have seen.
By gathering as a group of early childhood educators, we unpack the experiences we had that day, challenge or confirm our assumptions, and learn in community. These reflection times are facilitated by our team of Play Iceland leaders. The cross- pollination of a range of viewpoints and experiences allows everyone to gain a deeper insight into impactful practice.

Cost & Booking
Hotel + meals + transportation all included in our price. If flying separately, you are responsible for booking & covering the costs of flights. Payment for the trip is split in two with deposit and final payment.

Hotel & Flights
For UK attendees, we will be flying as a group from Luton OR Manchester. And for all traveling separately, please arrive in the early morning of the 26th. If arriving days early to explore Iceland we will coordinate transportation.
We will be staying at the Fosse Hotel in downtown Reykjavik. Located near many shop, restaurants & the harbor. Reykjavik is a fantastic walkable city with so much to see and experience during your stay.
